The Sheffield Medical Examiner Service continues to expand to the community setting in preparation for the statutory definitive introductory date of April 2024.

From this date onwards nationally, no non-coronial deaths can be registered without scrutiny of the death by a Medical Examiner whom will need to endorse the MCCD which will move to an electronic format.
