Description: This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is an internal document for General Practice to give guidance around the diabetic eye screening referral process and responsibility of general practice and GP2DRS process.
The SOP forms part of an action plan from NHSE following several significant events regarding delayed patient entry into eye screening services and is intended to improve processes around identification of eligible patients and eye screening referrals and awareness and understanding of the GP2DRS process.
