How to make a referral
Making a referral to Children's Social Care
If you are concerned that a child or young person is being abused or neglected you have a responsibility to do something about it.
Referrals should be made to the Sheffield Safeguarding Hub on 0114 273 4855
The out of hours team can be contacted on the same number.
Verbal referrals should always be followed up in writing using the Multi-agency Confirmation Form. The form is available on the CCG intranet and can be downloaded and saved. Completed forms should be e-mailed to: CFScreeningTeam@sheffield.gcsx.gov.uk
Please note that this email address CFScreeningTeam@sheffield.gcsx.gov.uk will be deleted on 31 March 2021 and will be replaced by sheffieldsafeguardinghub@sheffield.gov.uk. This email address is compliant with the National Cyber Security Centre's guidance.
If you are not sure whether to make a referral or not, you can seek advice by having a conversation with a social worker based in the Multi-agency Support Teams (MAST). This can be accessed via the old advisory service number.
